It would be nice to be able to read more about exercise during

something applicable to women who are use to doing

What a great service. Doctors haven't got the time to
answer all your questions, and I wanted to find out more,
but didn't know where. Your pages have put my mind at
rest, and given me valuable advice. Thanks.

I have looked through various articles you have here on the

regard to something else. Don't people in America get
epilepsy or is it just not important enough to cover!!

Our company, Biofeedback Instrument, founded by Dr. Philip Brotman, is one of the oldest biofeedback instrument distributors and educators in the U.S. Our equipment is used to treat many physical and mental disabilities, such as substance abuse, incontinence, stress, anxiety, learning disability, and pain. We have several web pages that will feature editorials on biofeedback, neuroscience, and psychiatry. There are equipment illustrations and descriptions, as well as workshop schedules. We would also be delighted to list you at our site (please include the exact url when you e-mail us).

I think it would be a good idea if the "Interactive
Finder" question regarding condom use also had a
button for "N/A". I'm a little annoyed with health
services automatically assuming one is sexually active,
and by doing so perhaps adding to the stigma (particularly)
for males) attached to waiting for the time being.

I am 20 years old and attempting to eat and live healthier for the rest of my life. I
have started by reading up on nutrition and health and changing my eating and exercise
habits. I have also taken a cholesterol test to see if I should be concerned about my
cholesterol level. After receiving the results the nurse said that my cholesterol level
was very good. My LDL was 127 and I think my HDL was about the same. My question is
if there is any way that I can increase my HDL without necessarily increasing my LDL
level? or should I really be concerned? Please email me a response. Thank you very much.

I guess I'm missing something. Just what IS the service I'm expected to comment upon? I saw a few comments but nothing of what the comments commented upon.
I don't want to step on anyone's toes but I don't get it. I did a net search for chelation therapy and got your home page and one other that dealt with lead poisoning.
The comments I read indicate that someone saw something to comment upon. I don't. All I see is an invitation to comment. Is there more?

You may like to take a look at The Stress Space on:

http://www.foobar.co.uk/users/umba/stress/

It has received many favourable reports from GP's, psychologists and other academics, as well as
individuals with an interest in stress. The Stress Space uses stress bio-monitoring information
to underline some basic points about handling stress and facilitating stress conditioning.

Cheers,

Gary.

Dear Joel,
Watching 20/20 last night (10/01/95) Morley Safer did an article on managed care that he could have taken directly from your August piece "Restoring the sanctity of the patient - physician relationship", I hope you recieved some credit for it. Any way I am an Optician in Worcester,MA, a town that has become managed care hell for private practitioners in every allied health care field. The support for managed care by government and corporate officials in our area is not to be believed. The city of Worcester is committing millions in public tax dollars to a controversial "Medical City" adjacent to downtown to be owned and operated by the biggest medical player in town The Fallon Clinic. I can't fathom how this will benefit the public but there it is. I also am having major problems with HCFA funding "free" senior plans that remove large blocks of my former customers from me by giving "free" eyecare and eyeglasses to them when they sign away their medicare rights to one of several senior plans operating in the area. To take my tax dollars and spend them in competition with me is going to put me either out of business or reduce my firm's ability to provide jobs and taxes. We have been hearing a very biased dialoque ( actually a monoloque) about how bad "any willing provider" legislation would be in terms of cost control, do you have any thoughts about this or know any sources I might seek to bolster the case for"AWP" legislation? Anyway, your article was great, I am distributing it to several physician friends of mine so they can see they are not alone in thinking things are more than a little rotten.
Sincerely,
Jim Magay

I'm interested in leaning about bio-feedback instruments that is priced for the home
comsumer with a computer. All I see from the bio-feedback
companies are products too sophisticated and complex, not to mention
to expensive for the home market. It seems to me that some temperature monitor
or some device measuring skin conductance, interfaced with a
home computer that is reasonably priced would have tremendous
market potential. I'm interested in knowing if such products are
available, or is anyone interested in developing such a product.
I think someone with a little programming savy could write the software,
if its not already out there, and integrate it with minor design changes
with temperature sensors for example already available to industry
at a low cost.

I have a question...I got some bloodwork done and one of the levels is supposed to be 0-45(normal), but I'm up at 193. I believe that test was called the SGTP, but I'm not positive.
My doctor says that since I don't have any symptoms of anything, not to worry about it
and come back in 6 months and they'll test me again.
Now I'm beginning to find that no matter how much sleep I get, I'm
always tired. Do you think I should find a new doctor?
And do you know any good ones in my area? I live in Cape Coral, FL.
Thank you.
P.S. I'm only 18.

Re: Link to your health info resource

Would it be possible for you to add a link on your resource page to Viaticus? We provide resources to people living with any life threatening illness.
The information we provide is critical to ensuring that physicians, social workers, and other medical professionals are aware of this new option for their patients.
Many people use our program to afford themselves better medical care
or relieve financial burdens.
Feel free to visit our site and email me if you have any questions.
I look forward to hearing from you.
