The Safe, Simple Way to Switch Browsers

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is BrowserSwitch an essential utility?
No browser from a single vendor provides all the capabilities necessary for the total Web experience. For example, the Microsoft browser implements dynamic HTML and "push" channels differently from Netscape. This means that on some sites you have to use the Netscape browser and on others the Microsoft browser. For example, Microsoft requires the use of Internet Explorer to download an update to Office 97. However, having two or more browsers from different vendors on the same PC can cause problems and conflicts. Each browser wants to be the default and take over your desktop. BrowserSwitch enables you to quickly switch browser and keep control.

Which browsers does BrowserSwitch work with?
BrowserSwitch recognizes all versions of the major browsers and their different releases from Netscape, Microsoft, Opera, and Mosaic. In addition, BrowserSwitch can be extended so it will work with other browsers or new releases from the major vendors.
